An Arts Festival in Somerset East!
We are hosting a three-day celebration of creativity in the birth town of Walter Battiss. Here is an outline of the Festival Programme to give you a better idea of what to expect:
Friday
All day: Tony Pietersen exhibition at museum
10:00am: Flower Crown Workshop with Floradella
2:30pm: Demonstration of dyeing wool with natural ingredients by Ros Turner. Pre-booking essential.
6:00pm: Fook ferries begin the Hop-on Hop-off tasting tour of town. Over 18's only.
10:30pm: Ferries stop. Party continues at late night venue(s).
Saturday
All day: Tony Pietersen exhibition at museum
8am: Fancy dress parkrun
9:30am: Unicorn & bicycle parade down Nojoli Street
10am: Sourdough focaccia art demo & decoration with Kirna Hellmuth. Pre-booking essential.
10am - 2pm: Local arts & crafts market at the museum
12am: Somerset's got Talent show
2pm: Raffle winner draw
2:30pm: Kids art workshop hosted by Melissa van Niekerk. Pre-booking essential.
6pm - 9pm: Music concert under the stars (live entertainment) at museum headlined by Vir Nou Net Magé.(https://www.instagram.com/virnounetmage/)
Sunday
Take a tour of the museum at 10am or 12:30am with the Queen of Fook herself - Ros Turner. (Pre-booking essential)
10am - 12am: Tony Pietersen will be sketching a portrait of the raffle winner
2pm: Museum closes for the weekend
All in all a fun-filled arty weekend for the whole family.
